The Spanish word salsa means sauce or flavor, suggesting a spicy and aromatic sensation, which in both dance and music can be associated with the fact that salsa combines elements of various musical genres in the musical layer, and in the dance layer the steps of many other dances, with the sensations in both of these cases are spicy and hot.
